ZUMBA!


It's official, I am a certified Zumba instructor!!!! Yesterday was a full day of Zumba training and it was amazing! We danced pretty much all day and it was like one big Latin party. Today my whole body aches and I have taken ibuprofen to help, but I am still on a high from the excitement yesterday!

I'll fill you in on more details tomorrow, but for now a hot bath and my comfy bed are calling my name. :-)

Snow Day!

This morning Aaron and I both slept though our workout alarm! Aiden has started waking up several times a night and then climbing in bed with us. We aren't getting much sleep. So, we will have to do our workout tonight when he gets home from work.

Last night I taught up front with my teacher for Zumba. It was SO fun! I'm realizing though how much I would take it down a notch by the end of class as a student, and I can't do that when I'm up front and everyone is watching. Haha I'll be practicing HARD for the next couple weeks to build up my stamina.

My sister flies in tonight from AK (AHHHH, I can't wait!!) She will be my little pet guinea pig while she's here. I need to teach her my routines and practice ques. She doesn't know what she's in for. ;-) Muah ha ha.

3 days until certification day! We go from 8:30-5:30....I'm going to be wiped! I am so excited though.

Dinner tonight- Chicken soup for the soul :-) Mmmm, stock has been cooking for 30 hours already. Perfect on a snowy, cold day!

Tuesday

Yesterday for Valentine's day Aaron and I got up early and did a Crossfit workout course.
-pushups
-lunges
-ski jumps
-goodmornings
-squats
-stomach things..lol I don't remember the name
-dips

3 rounds of 15 each for time. (Aaron has our times, I'll post them later)

It was awesome..early...but a great way to start the day. Afterward I met with the owner of my gym and had to do my whole zumba routine for her again. I am getting so excited for training this weekend and to teach my first class. Last night I went back for Zumba and then had a yummy dinner- we cooked a large turkey, had primal gravy, asparagus and the kids had brown rice and quinoa mix. I just had extra veggies and an apple. Oh- and I had 5 chocolate kisses. :-)

I've been using fitday.com to log my food- not to count calories, but more to see what my daily fat/protein/carb ratios are. It has been really helpful! I realized I wasn't getting enough protein for my body weight/fat %. I increased that and am feeling really good and have more energy, I even lost 3 pounds in less than a week after I increased. Woohoo!

Today- crossfit in the evening, Aaron went to work early. Then Zumba.
Din din- Roasted chicken, roasted veggies (onion, celery, fennel, cauliflower)
